Request teaching-mode access

Drawing on our own experience teaching with Telar, we have built a new teaching mode in the Compositor, which we are now testing. It is designed to help educators organise class projects and support students as they create their own visual narratives.

A Telar project asks students to look closely at sources and turn their research into a narrative for an audience. They select evidence, decide what to show, connect observations and provide the context a reader needs. A project might explore a work of art, trace changes in a landscape through maps and photographs, or bring archival materials and oral histories together in a community exhibition. These assignments offer opportunities to practise interpretation, writing, collaboration and digital publishing, and to produce something students can share and develop beyond the course.

Use the Compositor with your class: share a collection of objects, let student groups build their own exhibitions and review their sites from one course workspace.

We would love to share this tool with educators working in different disciplines, institutions and learning environments, and to learn from how you use it. If you would like access, please use the form below to tell us about your course, workshop or student project. We will do our best to reply as quickly as possible.

The account you use in the Compositor, if you already have one.

A few sentences about your course, workshop or student project are enough.

Your request is shared privately with the Telar team so we can reply.
